Searching recycled based skateboard material

Hi there, i am Chilean Design Engineer student, i love skateboarding since i have memory and i am really inrterested in recycling boards or make boards from recycled materials. Im aproaching my exam and i wonder if anyone knows something about recycled boards for new board material or something. Perhaps a material made of recycled plastic? I have access to my university FabLab, in there i could build lots of cool stuff so i want to take full advantage of it
